About SOS Treat Stop

My love for baking started long before SOS Treat Stop.

As a little girl, I spent time in the kitchen with my grandmother learning recipes and developing a love for baking. But one of the moments that really made me realize I had something special happened when I was about 12 or 13 years old.

My church held a baking contest during a picnic with a neighboring congregation. I entered my grandmother’s Strawberry Cinnamon Chiffon Cake against a group of experienced adult bakers and won second place. The funny part was, some of the judges couldn’t believe I had actually made the cake from scratch. But my cake was the first one completely gone, and people were asking for the recipe.

That experience stayed with me.

Years later, after constantly hearing from family, friends and coworkers that I should sell my desserts, I finally decided to take my passion seriously and build a business around it.

Today, SOS Treat Stop specializes in Southern-style desserts that bring back the feeling of Sunday dinners, family gatherings and comfort food. One of those creations became my signature Peach Cobbler Cookie, which went on to win Crowd Favorite Dessert at the 2024 Milwaukee Battle of the Chefs.

Now I’m growing through regular orders, dessert drops, vending events, parties, weddings and new business opportunities all while working a full-time job and raising my children.

And one of my favorite full-circle moments? That Strawberry Cinnamon Chiffon Cake that started it all when I was 12 or 13 is still on my menu today. 

What started with a little girl baking her grandmother’s recipe has grown into something I hope will become a legacy for my children.
